Sandy shines in 1-minute thesis competition!

Congratulations to PhD student Sandy Onie, who gave a stellar presentation at the UNSW Faculty of Science 1-minute thesis competition! In his talk, entitled “Improving rural mental health through the science of attention”, Sandy described how he combines both lab-based cognitive experiments and outreach to Indonesia’s rural communities to optimize the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions that can be used in areas without other psychological resources. Sandy received one of the 2nd place prizes from Psychology for his performance, in the form of $2000 to be deposited into his research expense account!
